Conference Program

A working group, chaired by Giuseppe Di Carlo, has been formed to oversee the program in collaboration with the organisers.

Please note that the program has now been finalised. As a result of input at ISBW7 in Zanzibar, and ongoing input from members ISBW8 in Canada is planned to be as interactive as possible and outcome oriented while providing opportunities for participants to present and discuss topics about seagrasses.

»Finalised program now available (updated 23 August)«

All sessions will be run in plenary mode, i.e. as a single session. Several mini-workshops will be run during the meeting. All contributed oral sessions will involve the presentation of 'short-talks' (5 mins + 3 mins for questions) but also accompanied by a visual free-standing presentation such as a full poster, mini-poster, electronic presentation or other device. We plan to have a small format colour printer on site to assist those who wish to produce something at the time. This will enable most of those who wish to give an oral presentation to do so and still allow free discussion of the material during the various poster sessions. There will also be poster only presentations. For planning purposes, if you will be unavailable for an extended period, please notify the conference program organizers by email: isbw2008program @ so that any queries will not be left unanswered, in particular over the next few months when the abstract processing is underway.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the program.

Letters of invitation and intent may be requested from the conference organizers.
